◉Miguel Ángel GILFER. Visual Artist. Degree in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid. With a long career in national and international projects, he combines his artistic work with teaching at the art school which he founded in 1991 in Madrid. In 2010 he begins a new stage as a researcher with a project working on the production system of contemporary art in Finland, receiving a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture of Spain and having the opportunity to reside in the center HIAP (Helsinki International Artists in Residence Program). Since 2011 he works in the collective management of Espacio Trapézio, a center for emerging art projects of the Madrid cultural scene.
◉ Rafael Agudo. Cultural Manager. Degree in Humanities at University of Alcalá de Henares. He is linked to the publishing industry since finishing his higher education, and has developed a Junior Editor work on different projects with journalist Enrique Meneses and has collaborated with the publisher Feltrinelli Florence. After pursuing postgraduate studies in Master in Cultural Management at the Universidad Carlos III. He worked in the public activities department of the Casa del Lector center, in Matadero Madrid. He is currently the coordinator of the association.
◉ Klaara Nieminen. Visual Artist from Finland. This Germany-based painter graduated from Lahti Institute of Fine Arts in 2012. Then she studied Art history and Film research in Helsinki University and finished her Master’s in 2017. Nieminen has done exchange studies both in Valencia and Madrid and keeps returning to Spain for both work and leisure. She is interested in the relationship between art and science, the contrasting visual rhetorics and mindsets, and by working in the intersection between art and art history she aims to find ways to communicate between the two fields.
◉ Mari Nieves Vergara. Degree in Fine Arts at University of Málaga, having being granted to conclude her studies at Malmö University, Sweden. Currently she is carrying out her PhD Thesis in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Complutense University of Madrid, where she completed a Master in Artistic Research and Creation and a Master in Teaching in Visual Art Education. In 2016 she has being granted with an Erasmus+ fellowship for a postgraduate PhD stay in the Department of Art of the School of Arts, Design and Architecture at Aalto University in Helsinki, Finland, where she has collaborated as researcher and visiting teacher. As visual artist she has exhibited in Spain and abroad, participated in creation/research projects and being awarded for her work.
◉ Julia San Millán. Fine arts Degree at Complutense University of Madrid, she has a Master’s degree in cultural management projects. She combines her work as a visual artist with other cultural management projects. Co-founder of the Cultural Asociation Espacio Matrioska and the Music Festival Reina Loba, she has made a curatorial internship in PhotoEspaña and worked for the art gallery of the Royal Botanical Garden in Madrid.
◉ Toni Ledentsa. Independent curator and producer. He has a BA in Cultural Production and Management from the Humak University of Applied Sciences and an MA in Curating, Managing and Mediating Art (CuMMA) from the Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture in Helsinki. He has worked extensively in the fields of contemporary art and music, in Finland and internationally. He is interested in creating connections between different disciplines, cultures and geographical areas. Consequently, he finds residency programmes very important and beneficial.
